«Éthiopie, Éthiopies...» par Getachew Berhanu
L’artiste Getachew Berhanu s’initie à la peinture traditionnelle en 1989, avec le désir de suivre le chemin de son père, l’artiste internationalement connu Berhanu Yemenu. Getachew Berhanu a réalisé de nombreuses peintures traditionnelles depuis 1991 et a participé à de nombreuses expositions solos et collectives. Il est en outre un illustrateur reconnu et primé. Il a réalisé et présenté en février 2009 une trentaine d’œuvres qui interrogent l’identité éthiopienne.
Following the path of his father, the famous artist Berhanu Yimenu, Getachew Berhanu is a traditional painter since 1991 and has participated in many solo and group exhibitions. Getachew Berhanu is also known as a book illustrator. He will present his new traditional paintings under the general theme he set for himself “Ethiopian Identities”.
